English Linen Press Cabinet, circa 1890

About the Item

Generous storage abounds in this beautiful linen press cabinet from England. Featuring solid oak, double bodied construction, the top piece of the cabinet showcases a breakfront design and a molded cornice with dentil trim. The raised panel doors open to six pegs along the top interior edge and two removable shelves. The base piece of the cabinet is comprised of two internal doors that lift to reveal a large concealed storage area. Four elegantly carved panels form the front of the concealed storage. Below the panels, five drawer with bucket drawer pulls provide additional storage. The linen press is raised on ogee bracket feet with a scalloped apron between the front feet.
