George III Mahogany & Inlaid Linen Press
About the Item
A fine quality 2 door mahogany & inlaid linen press.
Constructed throughout in quality timbers and well selected decorative figured veneers. The base chest with 2 short & 2 long oak lined cockbeaded drawers retaining wonderful original gilt brass ring handles.
The upper doors with highly figured central oval contained within quarted cross grained border.
The cornice with crossgrained face veneers crowned with a shaped & decorated veneered cresting.
The upper section with 5 sliding trays with mahogany crossgrained facings with boxwood inlaid stringing.
