Baroque Secretary Desk, Germany 1750, walnut

About the Item

This beautiful Baroque Secretary Desk comes from Southern Germany and dates back to 1760/70. The secretaure has a gorgeous walnut veneer grain. The upper part has a sloping writing flap, the outside has a walnut veneer with curved ribbon inlays. The inside opens to six smaller drawers and an open compartment, as well as a secret compartment. The lower part of the secretary desk has one large drawer and two smaller ones above. It stands on curved legs. The secretaire comes refinished with a shellac polish.
