About the Item

Biedermeier secretary desk veneered in walnut, featuring three lower drawers, a flat fall-front writing surface, and a top drawer. The pilasters are designed as columns with baluster capitals. The cornice is richly molded and crowned at the center by a small platform. The interior is fitted with ten drawers arranged around a central compartment framed by columns and an arched opening. The secretary has been restored and hand-polished.
