About

Beautiful mahogany desk and mahogany veneer, dating from the early 19th century, Empire period attributed to Pierre-Benoit Marcion (1769-1840), Napoleon cabinetmaker, opening a drawer at the top, a flap discovering a locker with eight drawers, including one of square shape surrounded by 6 small topped by a large making the whole width. In the lower part there are 2 leaves opening on a large drawer topped with a niche. Black marble top of Belgium. Amounts adorned with gilt bronze caryatids surmounting gilt bronze palmettes. Pull handles in lion's muzzles. Feet in wooden claws painted in imitation of patinated bronze. Lock entries also in chiseled and gilded bronze representing griffins and vases in the antique style, also presence of chiselled and gilded bronze swans on the bottom of each upright.
