About
Original Biedermeier secretary from Sweden, circa 1830-1840. Cherrywood veneer. Expertly hand-polished with shellac (French polish).
Half-high body, consisting of the expansive base with a large drawer, and sitting on it the main part with 2 other large drawers and the writing flap. Behind the writing flap, which is ebonized from the inside, there are 11 small drawers in birch wood veneer, and in the middle a door surrounded by 3 open compartments.
