About the Item

A palace-like, tall Venetian secretary, with a light olive-colored polychrome, beautiful gilding and hand-made floral paintings, characteristic of the so-called "Bright furniture" in the Venetian Rococo style. A piece of furniture that is unique in the trade, most likely made for individual orders. The most effective type of secretary, high (almost 2.3 m), with a lockable writing section - the "organizer" and a spacious, foldable top. In the central part of the Baroque and Rococo finial of the furniture - the dominant feature is a beautiful vase with flowers and rocaille ornaments. It symbolizes the Basket of Plenty. A piece of furniture of the highest class and the essence of the unique Venetian Rococo spirit. It has everything - a wealth of rococo rocaille ornaments, furniture lines bent in all directions, masterly deep carving and beautiful floral paintings in pastel tones. The whole is complemented by classic gilding. Convex (carved and gilded) ornaments with rocaille ornaments - both on the outside of the cover of the writing section and on both doors of the upper part of the secretary - are extremely rare, confirming the individual character and class of this secretary. These elements, in all "normal" pieces of furniture, are always only painted. The inner sides of the secretary doors are additionally decorated with elegant inlays made of two types of dark wood. Stunningly perfect proportions create the impression of total "lightness" of the furniture, despite its considerable weight, which is the effect of a very solid structure made of solid, heavy wood. The furniture is fully functional, with shelves, numerous drawers and compartments. Tilting writing table, unfolding to an angle of 180 degrees. The original, functional tilt mechanism. The secretary will impressively present itself and decorate almost any room - living room, office, dining room, library, etc ...
