About the Item

Particularly high buffet, of great storage capacity, characterized by the unusual horizontal division into two compartments with different heights, closed by two large flap doors of finely tapered edges. The upper compartment adopts an evolution of the innovative Dual-Flap® opening system (Acerbis patent). In just one simple gesture the front panel tilts down, while part of the top rises to reveal the full contents of the unit, backlit by a LED illuminated white methacrylate rear panel. The upper door, once open, offers a bearing surface at an especially convenient height for serving. Doors and top are matt lacquered, glossy lacquered or veneered. External sides are matt lacquered or veneered. Matt Slate Grey lacquered interior, dividers and back-lit rear panel in matt metahacrylate. LED lighting system with automatic switching on at door opening. Transparent glass shelves. Metal base with brushed nickel finish. Finishes - Lacquered colours: Black, White, White SW, Ghiaia Grey, Pietra Grey, Fumo Grey, Lino, Sabbia, Warm Grey, Argilla, Red NY, Red Vico, Blue Iseo, Green Iseo. - Veneers: brown oak, lauro preto, thermo-treated eucalyptus, black eucalyptus. Born on 13 November 1957, Massimo Castagna graduated in architecture in 1984 from Milan Politecnico; he began his professional activities in 1986, founding the studio AD architettura. He has gained considerable professional experience in the field of architecture, interior design, art direction and design in the furnishing sector. One of his major creations has been the “Piramide” laboratory the Everest-K2-CNR scientific committee for the Italian National Research Council, which was built in Nepal beginning in 1991 at an altitude of 5050 m., to be used as a high-altitude research laboratory, a project selected for the 18th Milan Triennale.
