About the Item

Late 18th Century George III Period Bowfront Sideboard. Features a mahogany framed case with cross banding, inlay and striping throughout. Includes a large central hand dovetailed felt lined drawer set bet between a felt lined cabinet along the left and large felt lined drawer or cellaret to the right. Drawers and cabinet feature beautiful oval brass pulls with flower at the center and fleurs along each end as well as brass lined escutcheon plates with working locks. Beneath the center drawer is a beautifully arched serpentine apron with fan inlay at each corner. The case is supported by six square tapered legs with spade feet. A remarkable example of craftsmanship from a foregone era. Dimensions: 27.5" x 68" x 37"h
