Exceptional Antique Serpentine George III Mahogany Sideboard

About the Item

A very fine and distinguished Period George III (c.1760-1820) Serpentine Sideboard. The Sideboard in a rich and very deep Mahogany with a refined light wood edging, exquisite Shell and Line inlay, heavy Brass Lion Ring Pulls, Tambour door hidden top storage and a single middle drawer. The two sides with faux Drawer doors opening to Bottle Storage with the body resting on strong tapered legs with Peg foot. Dimensions: 77.6” wide by 22” deep by 42.5” high. Condition: Please see detail photos. Various expected signs of great age include time-softened scratches (Some are deep) to the top surfaces and elsewhere, lacking a key, wear to the interior as shown in photos, tabor doors are tight and do not open smoothly, stable age splits to the sides and top, edge and leg nicks, slight veneer losses and finish fading to areas of the tambour doors. The aforementioned is for accuracy as the presentation is exceptional.
