Modernist Teak & Bast Sideboard by Florance Knoll 1960s

About the Item

A classic modernist design sideboard by Florence Knoll, Model 116 for Knoll International - this version was produced in 1968 by Knoll International in Stuttgart. It features the typical sliding doors with Seagrass, wich was a popular detail also at the Bauhaus tradition. The stitched leather strips as handles are also a lovely and typical detail. The corpus is made of brigth ash wood on the outside and light maple on the inside. Marked inside with two 'Knoll International' stickers. A very well kept piece of design history.
