French 19th Century Louis XVI St. Patinated Wood Cabinet Vitrine
About the Item
A remarkable and most decorative French 19th century Louis XVI st. patinated wood cabinet vitrine. The four door one drawer vitrine is raised by elegant square tapered fluted legs at the front and fine block legs at the back. The two doors at the base display beautiful and most decorative mottled diamond shaped recessed designs decorated with charming bronze tied ribbon keyhole escutcheon and which open to reveal a single shelf. The doors are separated by an additional elegant diamond shaped panel below the single drawer also displaying a recessed design and bronze pull below a lovely dentil designed frieze. Above are two doors each retaining their original glass panes framed within a fine mottled border and also displaying lovely bronze keyhole escutcheons and which open to reveal two shelves. The doors are flanked by graceful fluted columns leading up to the elegant top crown decorated with a dentil designed band and fine fluted designs. All original patina throughout.
