Antique 18th Century Carved French Oak Armoire
About the Item
Attractive carvings of vines, leaves and flowers embellish this armoire giving it a romantic touch. Crafted in the late 18th century France, this oak armoire has beautifully carved moldings from the cornice to the door as well as the side panels. This tall cabinet also features the original brass hinges and key escutcheons traditional in France, and a warm reddish brown patina that only comes through years of use and care. Please take a moment to enlarge the photos and examine the exquisite details up close. Age related separation of the back planks and overall wear are commensurate with age, and simply add to the depth and character of this impressive oak armoire.
