A very beautiful Biedermeier armoire or cabinet in a honey-colored fire birch that has been expertly book-matched throughout to showcase the singular beauty of its grain. The faux front of the single door is paneled to give the illusion of a secretary. Embellishments include an arched bonnet, carved wood appliqués on the side edges, & carved slipper feet. North Germany, circa 1845. Comes with 2 interior shelves, working lock and key. 43 1/2" wide x 21" deep x 73" high (inside depth: 16"
