A light-brown, vintage Mid-Century Modern Italian bar cart made of hand crafted polished Walnut, designed by Cesare Lacca and produced by Cassina, enhanced by detailed wood carvings, in good condition. The serving tea trolley is composed with one large wooden shelf and a clear glass top, supported by four chrome wheels. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1940 - 1950, Naples, Italy. Cesare Lacca was an Italian designer and architect born in 1929, in Naples, Italy. Lacca created modernist furniture and metal work throughout the 1950's. His personal life and professional training remain lost in history. Lacca was appreciated for his fundamental contribution to the Italian design identity. Cassina S.p.A. is an Italian company founded in 1927 in Media, Brianza, Italy by two brothers Cesare and Umberto Cassina. Cassina is an Italian furniture manufacture, specialized in creating high-end furniture. In 2005, the company was sold to the Poltrona Frau Group.
