A fine pair of 2 Georgian late 18th century Torcheres.
Material: 1 made of Mahogany and 1 made of walnut
Style: Antique, Georgian, 18th century
Origin: England or the Netherlands, late 18th century 1780 - 1800
Condition: Good and very decorative as torcheres, candle stands or plant stands.
It is ready for home use but as might expected of 18th century antiques
it has traces of use, please see pictures.
Descrition: A fine pair of 2 Georgian late 18th century Torcheres.
With a quatrefoil flower form top with a slightly raised edge.
The stem of hexagonal shaping finished with collar.
Tapering outward and downward to an elongated baluster
The concave stem of hexagonal shaping, terminating on elegant tripod scrolling legs.
The legs sweeping to a rounded toes, set with pairs of ringed and domed paterae.
Height 35.4 in - 90cm
Diameter top 9.8 in - 25cm and 10.6 in - 27cm
Width legs approx 18.5 in - 47cm.
