Mahogany with American cherry top. This piece is attributed to John Meads based on its distinctive quality and Albany cabinetmaking characteristics, which drew style elements from both New York City and Boston. This uniquely regional variation was executed with a mastery of detail placing this piece as the product of an important Albany NY cabinet shop. The attribution was suggested by the Albany Institute.
