19th Century Irish George II Style Games Table
About the Item
An exceptional 19th century Irish George II style mahogany games and tea table of eared rectangular form, the first hinged top on solid mahogany, the second hinged top enclosing a baize surface with playing counter wells and candle stands, above an undulating arpon drawer centred by a carved shell on cabriole legs with acanthus carved knees terminating on hairy paw feet. The table has a rear gate leg action mechanism.
