Rare 19th Century Thomas Chippendale Clustered Column Leg Silver Tea Side Table

About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this very rare Thomas Chippendale style Clustered Column leg occasional silver tea table in Mahogany This table is stunning, I would say early 19th, the timber patina is exquisite as is the carving, the table has cluster column legs, ornate fret work carving all over, it is a sublime piece The table has been restored to include having the top lightly refinished to remove a dark mark, some of the fret working carving was missing at the tops of the legs, these have been re-carved from period mahogany by a third generation Victorian trained wood carver, the whole piece has then been sympathetically French polished Dimensions Height 71.5cm Width 96.5cm Depth 63cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses SW19-3BE Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
