19th C. Neoclassical Inlaid Tilt Top Table with Chinoiserie Medallion
About the Item
2nd quarter 19th c., Central European table, mixed wood inlay with colors on Indian rosewood, with circular cross-banded tilt-top centrally inlaid with a medallion enclosing a Chinoiserie scene within interlaced strapwork banding, on paneled hexagonal shaft and tripartite scroll legs. Beautifully made with wonderful inlay detail, this table exudes quality.

Condition:
Good, in overall good condition, with some scattered small nicks, chips and faint scratches to edges. Wear is consistent with age and use. The inlay is well preserved. Shows well. Ready to place
Provenance:
Acquired from Galerie B. J. F., Paris, September, 1990. The Galerie mainly presents pieces of furniture and works of art from the 18th and 19th centuries. Offered Christie's (hence tag attached to leg) , New York, March 23, 2021, lot 193 (passed).
