19th Century Victorian Walnut Marquetry Center Table, 1850s

About the Item

English center table, early Victorian era, magnificent in form and quality of inlays on the top, not least the central block, finely carved and punched. In walnut briar wood on the top moved, and inlaid with floral motifs in woods of fruit, the central log is solid walnut. We are in front of a work of art. The table was born with a height of 73 cm, over time has been raised in the upper part of the log to bring it to 78 height standard from the 60-70 years of the 20th century. All restorable without affecting the originality of the table. The table needs a restoration of polishing.
