Exceptional Large Viennese Biedermeier Walnut Center Table Vienna, circa 1825 A rare and exceptionally elegant large Viennese Biedermeier pedestal table, crafted in Vienna around 1825. Pieces of this scale and refinement represent the finest traditions of early 19th-century Viennese cabinetmaking. The generously proportioned circular top is veneered in beautifully figured book-matched walnut, displaying a deep amber tone and a superb natural patina developed over nearly two centuries. The remarkable size of the top makes this table particularly striking and highly versatile as a center or dining table. The table is supported by a gracefully turned pedestal with refined ebonized accents, a sophisticated detail frequently found in the finest Viennese Biedermeier furniture.
