This rare and important circa 1830 French Charles X center table in Amboyna and amaranth wood with a circular white marble top above a flared triangular base on caster with gilt-wood Egyptian style sphinxes.
Provenance: Collection of James Biddle, Sothebys New York, September 26, 1992 as lot 365; Mrs Judith Taubman, 1820 South Ocean Blvd., Palm Beach, Florida.
