Antique French Louis XV Style Belle Epoque Cocktail Table

A very fine Belle Époque period French Louis XV style mahogany low table, rare and hard to find proportions, ideal for use as a modern day coffee or cocktail table. Circa 1910; Paris, France Born in France in the early 20th century, exquisitely hand-crafted, fine quality craftsmanship, construction and detailing throughout. Finished in luxurious Rocco taste, having a cartouche serpentine shaped inset marble top with the most dramatic graffiti veining, framed by moulded stepped edge with running ornamentation carving, over a shapely contoured solid wood frame with scalloped shaped apron, featuring high relief carved shell and foliate elements, elegantly rising on cabriole legs, terminating in whorl feet. As warm and attractive as it is useful, having ideal proportions for use as a coffee table, cocktail drinks table, oversized guéridon or chair side end table, low centre table and more. Dimensions (approx): 25.25" high, 37.25" wide, 26.25" deep Beautifully aged patina over the whole. Presents superbly. Strong, sturdy, stable and structurally sound. May have minor age appropriate wear. Delivered cleaned, moisturized, hand waxed, polished, and ready for over another century of use.
