Brutalist Tubular Steel Coffee Table with a Glass Top by Silas Seandel, c. 1970

About the Item

This extraordinary dining table is the epitome of one of a kind. Hand-crafted by Silas Seandel himself, this exquisite coffee table is the only one of it's kind in existence. Famous for using only solid metals such as brass, bronze, steel, copper, Seandel used no enamels, no veneers and nothing unnatural. All colors are the results of acids and heat treatments which Seandel has developed from the start of his career in 1963. Built with solid steel this table's unique, horizontally-opposed design is absolutely mesmerizing and will steal the show in any space. The artist's signature is located on the base and can be seen clearly in the photos provided. As previously mentioned, is the only one of it's kind and when it's gone, it's gone forever. • Mid-Century Walnut Coffee Table w/ Kidney Glass Top by Forest Wilson, c. 1960s
    By Forest Wilson
    Located in Deland, FL
Introducing an iconic sculptural coffee table by Forest Wilson. Featuring intricately carved solid walnut legs that borrow from fluid forms found in nature, it’s almost as if Wilson is contouring the beams of walnut back to their original shape as tree branches. The kidney-shaped, thick-cut glass top, though likely not original, is an excellent addition and harkens back to the Atomic era of American Modern Design. Wilson’s signature aluminum caps conceal the joining hardware. Perfect for designers searching for an authentic, vintage Forest Wilson table this paradigmatic piece can blend against a myriad of design backdrops from Mid-Century Modern to Boho Chic to Contemporary. With iconic lines, superb woodgrains and a vintage kidney-shaped top this coffee table is sure to make a BOLD impression in any space it inhabits.
