This one of a kind coffee table is a collaboration between Los Angeles design firms ETC.etera and Another Human. The two studios adapted ETC.etera's block coffee table using new materials and finishes to make a truly unique piece. The colorful blocks of acrylic and cellophane inset in the top are reminiscent of Memphis shapes while also echoing shapes found in nature - a blade of grass, an ocean wave, a setting sun.
Designed and fabricated in 2019, this table is an edition of 1.
The tabletop is 48" x 48" and the acrylic top rests on the bases, such that the table is in five pieces and the lacquered bases can be repositioned as desired.
