Stunning vintage French mid-century cocktail table. circa 1960s/1970s
A transitional masterpiece, mixing design elements of luxurious 18th century Louis XV style with Hollywood Regency glam opulence and a bold contemporary modern twist, featuring a visually striking specimen exhibition style inlaid onyx top, with dramatic chevron design, and contrasting light sky blue onyx, rouge red marble, white veining, and various other highly polished colored stones, mounted over patinated gilt metal base, rising elegantly on gently curved cabriole legs, with subtle acanthus knee relief decoration, terminating in whorl feet.

A large, square, French tubular polished brass table, circa 1960s/1970s. The vintage mid-century table has a base frame with a modern faux bamboo-like design, and inset smoked mirror glass top. Substantial proportions, well made, good quality and craftsmanship, Hollywood Regency style, Modernist influence, in the manner of Jacques Adnet and Maison Jansen.
