About the Item

Inspired by the Sacred Ceiba trees of Havana, this sculptural coffee table by Joao Faria combines organic forms with the precision of contemporary furniture design. Handcrafted in Portugal, the coffee table is made from carefully selected teak wood and white lacquered wood, creating a refined contrast between natural wood grain and a smooth architectural finish. Designed to be appreciated from multiple angles, its sculptural character allows it to function as both a coffee table and a distinctive statement piece. This piece is offered as part of a special showroom clearance, presenting a rare opportunity to acquire a one-of-a-kind Author’s Edition showroom piece at a special price. Made in white lacquered wood and teak, this coffee table was used exclusively for display in the Emotional Objects showroom in Portugal. It has never been used in a residential or commercial setting and remains in excellent condition. Measuring 90 × 90 × 30 cm (35.4 × 35.4 × 11.8 in), the coffee table has a low, generous profile that suits contemporary living spaces and carefully composed interiors. Its combination of organic geometry, natural teak, and white lacquer creates a distinctive sculptural presence while maintaining the functionality of a refined coffee table. The coffee table is made entirely in Portugal, with each stage of production carefully executed or supervised by Joao Faria in a small workshop. The handcrafted process reflects the designer’s focus on material quality, precision, and detailed construction. In 2016, this coffee table received an A’ Design Award in the Furniture, Decorative Items, and Homeware Design category. Designed and manufactured in Portugal by Joao Faria for Emotional Objects.
