A sleek black lacquer coffee table by Gracie and Co. incorporating 19th or early 20th Century Japanese lacquer panels depicting lakeside scenes of cranes and bamboo in gold, with two sections of Japanese script, the inset panels mounted on a rectangular top over a base with a deep concave edge apron and standing on square section legs ending in inward spade feet. An elegant, restrained table that would fit a modern or antique interior.
