Max ingrand coffee tables - mid-century art fountain 1958's

About the Item

Max Ingrand coppia tavolini bassi Fontana Arte, Italy, 1950s-1960s wooden base and interlocking shaped crystal top. Side tables feature circular glass tops beveled, characterized by a refined visual lightness, supported by three tapered shaped wooden legs, elegantly tapered and connected to the top by small sculptural wooden elements. The balance between glass and wooden structure perfectly reflects Max Ingrand's design poetics, in which function, craftsmanship and formal research coexist in an essential and timeless language. The understated but highly recognizable design is fully in line with the production of Fontana Arte after World War II, a period in which the company achieved some of its highest achievements thanks to Ingrand's artistic direction. These small tables embody the Italian modernist aesthetic, with a focus on quality materials and purity of line. Ideal as side tables, side tables or collector's pieces, they can be used together as a pair or individually. Condition: Excellent vintage condition, with slight signs of age consistent with age and use, which do not compromise either the structure or the overall aesthetics. Maggiori informazioni: Also featured in the ''Rooms of Glass'' exhibition representing Fontana Arte, Max Ingrand. Also to be spotted and admired with the virtual tour of the glass rooms.
