Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin Burl Wood Parsons Coffee Table, 1970's

About the Item

A striking 1970s square coffee table designed by Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin. Crafted in rich, bookmatched olive ash burl wood with clean, minimalist Parsons-style lines, this table exemplifies the refined modernist aesthetic Baughman championed—warm organic veneer paired with architectural rigor. The intricate burl wood grain is symmetrically mirrored across the surface and sides, emphasizing the quality and precision of craftsmanship. It retains the original structure and proportions iconic to Baughman’s work for Thayer Coggin, with squared, flush legs and a waterfall edge profile. The construction underneath further supports authenticity, including era-consistent hardware and internal framing. It is in excellent vintage condition with only minor age-appropriate wear; some very light surface patina consistent with age. No warping, cracks, or structural flaws.
