Sculpture Table with Coral from all contenants cast into the mold

About the Item

This piece brings attention to humanities relationship with our oceans and natural environment. 20% of proceeds go to a sustainable living organization. This stunning piece is a focal point and discussion piece for any space. This one of a kind piece was created by placing coral from around the world into earth clay. The clay is made into a mold and zinc is casted with petrified wood, burning out the coral. John Brevard applies his background in architecture and multidisciplinary arts to create ethereal designs that are not only visually stunning but also conceptually powerful. Inspired by the principles of natural order, each creation is symbolic of the inseparable relationship of the part to the whole. After a near death experience, Brevard developed a fascination with proportions and patterns found in nature and theoretical sciences, namely sacred geometry and phenomenology. Brevard manifests this vision through an experience, which encompasses and merges design, fashion, architecture, and technology for an integrated new world.
