Pebble Coffee Table by Nada Debs, Contemporary Marble Coffee Table
About the Item
Inspired by pebbles on the beach, this contemporary coffee table is expandable and contractible with seven marble tops in Nero marquina and black lacquer steel base. The base is a masterpiece of sophisticated engineering. Solid steel uprights are tapered and in invisible sections connected by cross stretchers allowing for maximum flexibility of movement. The pebble table is fun so feel free to play with it a figure 'S', a circle, a line, a V. Each table is signed by the artist, Nada Debs who was born in Lebanon and raised in Japan, Nada Debs calls her style “East and East”. Her unique practice blends cultural languages that at first seem incompatible: the minimalist refinement of Japan (the Far East) and the ornamentation of the Middle East. The designer, who studied at the Rhode Island School of Design in the U.S. and worked in the U.K. before returning to Beirut, calls this round-the-world journey her personal Silk Road.
Dimensions: 109.75" W x 22" D x 20.5" H extended / 59" W x 33.5" D x 20.5" H Compact.
The organically shaped tops come in three sizes: 18", 15.5" and 12.5".
The crossbars between the legs are equidistant at 14.5".
Also available in Stetoirietto white marble and brushed stainless steel base.

Nada Debs
A native of Lebanon, Nada Debs grew up in Japan and studied at the Rhode Island School of Design. Today, she lives and works in Beirut, where she leads a team of 20 people and works across disciplines, from product and furniture design to craft, art, fashion and interiors.
“My aim has always been to start with traditional techniques and skills and then inject a bit of life and fun into them by taking a more contemporary approach,” Debs says. “Ultimately, my brand is about reinventing craft and placing it within a modern context. I strive not only to preserve traditional craftsmanship but also to widen design boundaries while continuing to preserve inherent core values. I refer to this process as ‘handmade, heartmade.’”
