Vintage French Turned Column Pedestal Table, Reminiscent of Charles Dudouyt.
A French pedestal table with a turned column screw stem & square top, reminiscent of Charles Dudouyt designs. The table form most probably dates from the early 20th Century with the turned screw column from a much earlier date and most probably used as part of a wine press.
Befitting of interiors that blend pieces of different styles and ages and also those that harness the stripped-back, primitive, rustic, wabi-sabi aesthetic that is so on trend currently.
Condition: The set has been sympathetically & professionally restored and as a result is in great order. The items naturally show some signs of wear commensurate with age and overall some endearing quirks of a set this age and type. The turned stem will show more age-related characteristics, such as aging splits and imperfections due to how old it is.
