20th Century Italian Vintage Ashwood Dining Room Table by Pier Luigi Colli
About the Item
A vintage Mid-Century Modern Italian dining room table made of hand crafted Ashwood with a rich warm patina, designed by Pier Luigi Colli, in good condition. The conference table is composed with two drawers, standing on four legs which are tapered, hand turned and delicately hand sculpted with intricate bird designs. This piece furniture has a meticulous detailing, which is typical of the excellent work and design of this prolific Italian furniture maker. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1940, Italy.
Pier Luigi Colli (1895-1968) studied at the Paris L'École Des Beaux Arts Decoratifs. He returned to Turin, Italy to lead the Colli family furniture business. Today, Colli is one of the most popular furniture factories in the antique and vintage market worldwide.
