About

Gary Gutterman Olympic console was made for Axuis Designs. The table has new tempered glass and it's base is made of polished aluminum with adjustable feet. This was a custom size and purchased from the Gutterman estate, therefore not signed.

Gary Gutterman (1942-1993) started his design career as a staff designer with Helikon Furniture Company in New York City and then worked three years as a free lance designer under the name of Gary Gutterman Designs. In 1971 he and New York Interior Designer Leigh Hammond formed Axius Designs Inc. to present an entirely different concept with one continuous design statement as the theme for their stainless steel and glass pieces, offered as well in aluminum and in bronze. The firm was known for its ability to offer custom designing as well as custom sizes in all pieces.
