Metamorphic Telescopic Campaign Field Table / Equestrian Table, 19th Century

About the Item

An Extraordinary Metamorphic Telescopic Mahogany Campaign field table / equestrian table made in the 19th century. This unusual Campaign Field Table is concealed in a solid mahogany folding box that has steel hinges and leather wrapped steel handles. The Telescopic Tripod Folding Legs and Poles are made out of cold bluing steel and bronze fitters with steel adjustment keys. The Telescopic Tripod Folding Legs fold up completely to conveniently be stored inside the folded table top. Underneath the table top, when open, are two steel pins to attach the tripod legs. The engineering of the table gives it strength and stability in use. The Campaign field table / Equestrian table can be used while riders are mounted on horseback with a tabletop height of 72 inches or used for serving the Hunt Party at the lowest height of 35 inches or anywhere in between. This remarkable Metamorphic campaign table will work in a modern interior or traditional interior as a console, sofa table, standing desk, or serving table.
