Tavolo d’appoggio scultoreo con piano in autentico legno fossile (pietrificato), caratterizzato da una sezione irregolare che conserva l’aspetto primordiale del tronco, con venature naturali e bordi “corteccia” mantenuti intatti. Il piano mostra stratificazioni interne di straordinaria qualità estetica, testimonianza di un processo geologico durato milioni di anni.
La struttura tripode è realizzata in bronzo fuso, modellato a forma di rami intrecciati. Sulle gambe si trovano chiocciole in bronzo naturalistiche, tutte diverse tra loro, modellate singolarmente — dettaglio che conferisce all’opera un carattere artistico e una possibile firma stilistica dell’autore.
Il pezzo combina la materia più antica — il fossile — con un intervento scultoreo contemporaneo, generando un equilibrio poetico tra natura e arte. L’aspetto è quello di un lavoro di atelier europeo, con tutta probabilità pezzo unico, realizzato tra la fine del XX secolo e i primi anni XXI.
