19th Century French Napoleon III Period Mahogany Bureau Plat
About the Item
A French Napoleon III Second Empire period mahogany writing desk. Handcrafted in the third quarter of the 19th century, having an open gallery on scrolled supports with rounded finials, over four small dovetailed drawers, and a black inset leather writing surface that can be slide out to extend the desk, over the large lower drawer bottom drawer with carved escutcheon, rising on cabriole legs.

34" H, 31" W, 19" D
Good condition. Antique condition.
Structurally sound. Solid/sturdy. Repair to front desk corners. May have wear compensate with age and use. Cleaned, polished, waxed and ready for immediate use.
