Antique Sheraton Beechwood Paint Brass Cheveret Desk Case England
About
This extremely rare, one of a kind, so called 'Cheveret', is made in England in the Sheraton period, circa 1790, out of beechwood. It still has it's original dark green paint with black stripes. The four small drawers have their original round brass handles. This most elegant, delicate piece of furniture has square tapered feet and is in it's original condition.
A similar piece of furniture is in the publication of the Norman Adam collection, page 151.
