About the Item
We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning circa 1870 solid walnut twin pedestal oversized knee hole desk
This desk is sublime, the walnut patina on the drawers is rich and warm, its burl or burr walnut so full of swirls and lovely patterns. The desk top has a green writing surface. This desk is a little slimmer than normal and around 25cm wider, the extra width means you have allot more legroom, the idea being you can properly tuck your office chair under it which on normal desks of this size you can’t do, also those of us with long legs have allot more room
In terms of the condition we have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, the desk has patina marks all over from honest age and fair use
