The table was inspired by the work of French designer Émile-Jacques Ruhlmann, one of the key figures in 1930s Art Deco. His designs are the epitome of sleek and sophisticated, using expensive and exotic materials combined with an impeccable attention to quality and craftsmanship. With their curves, subtle but powerful embellishments, and intuitive understanding of form, his pieces came to symbolise the streamlined luxury of the Art Deco movement. Taking its cues from this iconic time in interior design, the Lunar Desk exhibits clean and minimal lines combined with an attitude of confidence, luxury, and grace, feeling both contemporary and Classic simultaneously.
