English Kidney Shaped Kneehole Writing Desk of Mahogany with Leather Top
About the Item
A fine English kidney shaped kneehole writing desk from the Edwardian era, featuring a demi-lune top with original leather writing surface decorated with gold tooling in a Greek Key pattern, over a frieze of seven graduated mahogany-lined drawers with original round brass plate handles.
The sides of the desk gracefully curve around the back, to a fitted storage display for books with one adjustable shelf, the whole supported on a shaped plinth base.
