French Empire Style Bureau Plat or Desk, France, circa 1950s. Elegant design in black lacquered wood with brass hardware and an inset black leather top. It is finished on both sides, so it could be floated in a room, see last photo of the back side. Key was not present when it came to us, but all drawers open.
