Giuseppe Rivadossi Writing Desk in Walnut With Rare Guglielmo Pecorini Chair

About the Item

Giuseppe Rivadossi for Officina Rivadossi writing desk combined with Guglielmo Pecorini chair Giuseppe Rivadossi for Officina Rivadossi, writing desk, walnut, metal, Italy, 1970s Giuseppe Rivadossi once again proves his great eye for materialization and technicality this table is exemplary for. The tabletop rests on two angular frames that are connected which each other via a constructive constellation of metal rods. The decorative aspect of this structure makes it not only necessary for the stability, but also has a strong impact on the design itself and showcases the high-level of craftsmanship this table has been made with. The wooden surface visualizes the artist’s hand and his movement to treat the wood with the use of intensive hand-planed and trimmed techniques. A real masterpiece that will stand the test of time and serve as a standout in one's interior. Giuseppe Rivadossi (1935) was born in Monteclana di Nave, Italy, where he still lives and works. At a young age, Rivadossi's path begins with wood carving, with works reflecting on his poetic idea of living. In 1962, Rivadossi took over the carpentry founded in 1920 by his father Clemente, which he transformed into an atelier, or rather a creative workshop. Eventually, Rivadossi and collaborators established 'Officina Rivadossi' in 1976 where he started the manufacture of wooden objects and unique modern furniture. Dimensions table: listed on the page Guglielmo Pecorini, chair, walnut, patinated leather, brass, Italy, circa 1940 This wonderfully sculpted chair is designed by Italian designer Guglielmo Pecorini.
