Bookmatched slabs of locally sourced black walnut rest upon a cantilevered version of the signature Serif leg, shown in smooth gunmetal finish steel. An optional pencil drawer provides storage with an integrated timepiece to keep you on schedule.
Custom sizes, finishes and configurations are available. As item is made to order, variations in grain pattern and color are to be expected.

Modern Industry Design
Founded in 2010, Modern Industry is a modern furniture design and fabrication studio located on Chicago's West side. Devoted to the elegant marriage of hand craftsmanship with technological innovation, we create luxury contemporary furnishings made to be passed down for generations- the antique furniture of the future.
Customers can choose from a variety of domestic hardwoods, including Walnut, Oak, Elm and Maple, finished in a selection of standard finishes, or custom finishing for an additional fee.
Steel can be finished in a variety of standard patinas, powder coated to any RAL color, or paint matched to any shade for an additional fee.
Limitless variations for the option pencil drawer are available, customized to suit your needs.
