Merging clean lines with warm materials, the faceted geometry of the MiMi desk creates a slender, elegant profile punctuated with painted surfaces that capture light. This modern and graceful design returns contemporary Italian craft to the office desk or compact dining table for urban living.
NYCxDesign 2018 Honoree. German Design Award 2019 Nominee.
Designed in Brooklyn by Italian-born architect Ale Preda for Miduny, this artisanal product is made in Italy by master craftsmen. The MiMi table oak white model features a solid 13-ply furniture-grade beech plywood structure, a Sessile-Oak veneer top, a white painted finish at the facets (RAL 9003), and is coated with a commercial-grade natural feeling matte finish.
Each MiMi table is hand-stamped with a unique serial number (on the underside) and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity. Like all our products, this item is efficiently packed for flat shipping inside a custom box and minimal assembly is required. Our custom joinery system allows legs to be pressure fitted in the notched top and secured with two bolts. Assembly takes a few minutes.

Miduny
Miduny is an artisanal furniture studio in Brooklyn, New York, led by Italian-born architect Alessandro Preda. Miduny's furniture combines timeless form with warm materials and whimsical accents. Our pieces merge the impeccable craftsmanship and beauty of traditional joinery, with the convenience and sustainability of flat pack. Most miduny designs are intentionally versatile, specifically conceived with a dual purpose. We design and prototype all products in our Brooklyn workshop, and collaborate with master craftsmen in Italy to produce small batches of beautiful, long-lasting, hand-crafted objects. We work with family-owned workshops with three generations of craftsmen under one roof. That allows our pieces to span between traditional detailing and the latest digital technologies. All our furniture comes stamped with a unique serial number and include a signed certificate of authenticity. Born in Italy. Bred in Brooklyn.
