    The richly figured mahogany case showing a finely turned baluster gallery over a hinged leather topped writing compartment, opening to an interior fitted with small drawers with satinwood fronts & turned pulls. The writing compartment having the added feature of enabling it to slide over the front of the base, thereby allowing for greater ease & comfort when seated in front.
