Huge Sheraton Revival Hardwood & Walnut Dining Table & 16 Hepplewhite Armchairs

About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning suite of 16 George Hepplewhite style dining chairs with hand carved mahogany frames and shield backs decorated with the Prince of Wales feathers and huge flamed mahogany & walnut Sheraton revival dining table This is a very good looking and expertly crafted suite. The detail to the chairs never ending, the tapered legs ending in spade feet, the shield back decorated with the Prince of Wales feathers as mentioned, the ends of the arms, the shape of the arms, they just scream elegance and sophistication The table is very elegant, its a mixture of flamed mahogany and rich warm walnut, there is some lovely inlay around and the centre has the wonderful Sheraton Revival rest. It splits into multiple pieces for ease of transport and installation, the table top comes in four leaves which lock together at the base. The bases divides in four or five pieces. Given that its 4.3 x 1.6 meters it is essential that the piece comes apart We have cleaned waxed and polished the timber, they are a vintage suite so will have some light patination here and there, the table around the edges has some light marks here and there and some small losses to the timber around the base beading Chair dimensions: Height 95.5cm Width 60.5cm Depth 57cm Seat height 50cm Table dimensions: Height 75cm Width 436cm Depth 158cm Under table height 62cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
