About

A fine Tommi Parzinger dining table of lacquered Honduras mahogany with satinwood inlay, and frame and legs of bleached mahogany. German-born Parzinger's modernism was heavily European-accented, and placed great importance on traditional values like elegance, and delight in materials... and very little on an ideologically-motivated break with history (and that posture's usual fellow traveller, visual austerity). Thus such pleasures as the beautifully detailed top, the delicate gussets supporting the tops of each leg, and the brass sabots protecting the bottoms of the same.
